A. Begin Installation
Note: For safety reasons, please ensure that the power cord is disconnected before opening the case.

2. Slide the cover backwards and remove upwards.

5. Connect the IDE Cable and power cables to the Optical Drive.

C. CPU Cooler Installation
1. Screw the Intel CPU FAN on to the mainboard and connect the fan connector.

3. Unfasten the rack mount screws and remove the rack.

Note: An COM / LPT ports bracket is available optionally from Shuttle.
F. Expansion Card Installation
Note: Please refer to the user guide of the Intel CPU FAN you bought to install the fan. CPU cooler dimensions: 75 x75 x80 mm (Max.)
1. Unfasten expansion slot bracket screws. Remove the back panel bracket and put the bracket aside.
Note: Note: The maximum size for a graphics card to fit in the chassis is 273mm x 98mm x 38mm
D. DDR memory module Installation
1. Unlock the DIMM latch.
B. CPU Installation
2. Align the DDR module’s cutout with the DIMM slot notch.
1. First unlock and raise the socket lever.
2. Lift the metal load plate on the CPU socket.

Note: This 775 pin socket is touch-sensitive and pins bend easily. Always apply extreme care when installing a CPU and limit the number of times that you remove or change the CPU.

3. Orientate the CPU and socket, aligning the yellow triangle on the corner of the CPU with the triangle on the socket. Make sure the CPU is perfectly horizontal, insert the CPU into the socket.
4. Remove the protective socket cover. Close the load plate, lower the CPU socket lever and lock in place.

Slide the DDR module into the DIMM slot.

3. Check that the latches are closed, and the DDR modules are firmly installed.
Note: Repeat to install additional DDR modules if desired.
E. HDD and Optical Drive Installation
1. Place the HDD and optical drive in the rack and secure with screws from the side.

2. Place the rack in the chassis and refasten the rack.
3. Place the power cables in the rack clip located on the underside of the rack mount. Then loosen the purse lock and separate the Optical Drive power cable.
3. Secure the bracket.
G. Fixing the cover
1. Replace the cover and refasten the thumbscrews.
2. Complete.
