User Guide
APPLICATIONS
The C121 Cable Replacement Kit consists of a 10 ft (3 m) length of cable terminated with an XLR connecter on one end and three wire leads on the other. Use it to replace the cable on the Microflex A412B microphone base.
INSTALLATION
1. Remove the base back plate by unscrewing the four
screws (A) as shown in Figure 1. Using a soldering iron, loosen the wire leads from the XLR connector (B) and detach the old cable.

2. Remove the old cable and strain relief from the back
plate using a 0022 (R–29) Heyco strain relief assembly tool. Optionally, you can use a pair of pliers—grip the plastic strain relief (C) applying pressure on the tab (D) as shown in Figure 2 and pull out.
NOTE: Do not damage the plastic strain relief.
3. Mount the new cable in the back plate with the plastic strain relief. Position the plastic strain relief 3/8 in. (1 cm) from the edge of the cable reinforcement sheath (see Figure 3) and use the pliers to grip it shut as you insert it into the back plate.
