Model C120 Microflex Cable Replacement Kit

APPLICATIONS
The C120 Cable Replacement Kit consists of a 10 ft
(3 m) length of cable terminated with an XLR connector on
one end and six wire leads on the other. Use it to replace the
cable on Microflex MX412D series desktop microphones.
INSTALLATION
1. Remove the base back plate by unscrewing the four
screws (A) as shown in Figure 1. Loosen the screws in
each screw terminal block (B) to remove the old cable.

2. Remove the old cable from the back plate using a 0022
(R–29) Heyco strain relief assembly tool. Optionally, you
can use a pair of pliers—grip the plastic strain relief (C)
applying pressure on the tab (D) as shown in Figure 2
and pull out.
NOTE: Do not damage the plastic strain relief.
3. Mount the new cable in the back plate with the plastic
strain relief. Position the plastic strain relief 3/8 in. (1 cm)
from the edge of the cable reinforcement sheath (see
Figure 3) and use the pliers to grip it shut as you insert
it into the back plate.

4. Wire the leads on the new cable to the circuit board in the
microphone base. You may need to remove the circuit
board to access the screw terminals. To do so, remove
the three screws (E) as shown in Figure 4. Match the
wires as marked on the circuit board below each screw
terminal as shown in Figure 4.

5. Reassemble the base.
