Test amount of force required to depress applicator on bottle

A Nidec-SHIMPO customer was looking for a cost effective means to measure the amount of force required to
depress the applicator on lotion bottles. They wanted an inexpensive solution that would be simple for anyone
to use, yet robust as well as perform at a high standard repetitively on the production line. The ideal offering
was the FGS-100L Manually Operated Force Test Stand combined with the FG-3005 Digital Force Gauge. This
apparatus turned out to be the perfect solution for their requirements. The line workers were able to perform
quickly a precise force test on a random sampling of bottles pulled off the production line without any set-up
time or calibration. The operator can determine immediately with the Go/No-Go tolerances initially programmed
into the FG-3000 force gauge if the test passes their QC’s pass or fail thresholds to operate the product. The
addition of this new testing procedure ensures that this production line assembles consistent products for their
customers.
