MODEL 2/150

Sherbourn proudly announces a new and more powerful version of its popular 2/100A audio/video
amplifier. Housed in a slim chassis with an elegant blue LED, the new 2/150 can be freestanding, wall
mounted or optionally rack mounted. This ‘discrete’ amplifier uses a hefty toroidal transformer and outputs
2 * 50/75 watts into 8/4 ohms respectively or a monaural 8 ohm output of 150 watts. Like all Sherbourn
amplifiers an excellent musical performance is assured by a combination of skillful design and the use of
top quality components including Bi–Polar and Mosfet transistors.

The 2/150 can automatically amplify a television’s audio signal or indeed any audio signal and pass it
seamlessly to up to 2 sets of external speakers; an embedded delay circuit prevents annoying ‘popping’
noises from a television. A new feature is a CPU that measures an intended impedance to prevent an
excessive load being imposed that might cause overheating. There is a front panel access for input
selection, switch–off delay time, a separate ‘B’ mode trigger level adjustment and volume setting. The rear
panel includes 2 sets of line level inputs, 2 sets of speaker level inputs, a set of buffered outputs, 12 volt
trigger and music signal sensing circuits, another adjustable turn on control, 2 sets of removable speaker
connectors, Sherbourn’s patent pending LDS speaker test circuit, and an 18 dB per octave sub–sonic filter to
prevent low frequency saturation of transformer volume controls.

The model 2/150 provides an innovative way to get quality audio from a television or any audio unit
and/or to enjoy music around the house.
