Proper Handling of the Device
To insure the smooth and safe usage of this product, read carefully the instructions detailed in this manual.
Using accessories other than those recommended and/or included in this product can cause accidents and product failures. Shin Heung Precision Co. Ltd. will not be responsible for such accidents and/or failures.
Bringing this product to unauthorized repair or service centers/shops will void the
warranty. Please contact the manufacturer for any repair and maintenance needs.
Counterfeit mobile phone
This product is identified through its unique phone number (ESN: Electronic Serial Number). Illegally reproducing or changing this unique number is a criminal act under Article 347, and is punishable with less than 10 years of imprisonment or a fine of less than KRW 20 million. In addition, this illegal act voids the warranty of this product.
Wireless/Radio Equipment Inspection and Registration
This product is inspected by and registered with the Ministry of Information & Communication.
This product can not be modified that could cause changes in its performance that infringes on the conditions of the registration.

Proper Handling of the Device
Avoid eye contact with the Barcode scanner. It can cause eye damage.
Do not remove the battery while device is ON.
Use only the specified battery charger. Using other chargers can cause
damage to the battery and/or be a fire hazard.
Do not make modifications to this product. This could cause fire, damage, electric shock, or serious injuries to users.
Do not use this product near gas and other flammable liquid. This could cause explosion.
Avoid using this product during lightning and thunder storms.
Keep this product out of reach of children and animals.
In places where wireless/radio communication is restricted (air flights,
near medical equipments, or similar places), follow the instructions provided for by the authorities of such places.
Do not leave this product in areas with high temperature and/or extreme temperature changes. Do not expose this product to direct sunlight. (Exposing this product to high temperature for long periods could cause explosion.)
Avoid using this product in areas with high moisture level. Do not submerge this product under water.
When subjecting this product to search equipment (x-ray machines) in airports, it is advisable to be aware of what is happening.

Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio

Body-worn Operation
This device was tested for typical body-worn operations with the back of the device kept 15 mm between the users body and the back of the device. To comply with FCC RF exposure requirements, a minimum separation distance of 15 mm must be maintained between the users body and the back of the device. Third-party belt-clips, holsters, and similar accessories containing metallic components may not be used. Body–worn accessories that cannot maintain 15 mm separation distance between the users body and the back of the device, and have not been tested for typical body-worn operations may not comply with FCC RF exposure limits and should be avoided.

Battery Safety Guidelines
The area in which the units are charged should be clear of debris and combustible materials or chemicals.
Particular care should be taken when the device is charged in a non commercial environment.
Follow battery usage, storage, and charging guidelines found in the user's guide.
Improper battery use may present a risk of fire, explosion or other hazard.
When charging the mobile device battery, the environmental temperatures of the location of the battery and charger must be between +32°F and +104°F (0°C and +40°C)
Do not use incompatible batteries and chargers. Use of an
incompatible battery or charger may present a risk of fire, explosion,
leakage or other hazard. If you have any questions about the compatibility of a battery or a charger, contact Shin Heung Precision support.
Do not disassemble, open, crush, bend, deform, puncture or shred.
Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
Severe impact from dropping any battery-operated device on a hard
surface could cause the battery to overheat.
Do not short circuit a battery or allow metallic or conductive objects to contact the battery terminals.
Do not modify, remanufacture , attempt to insert foreign objects into the battery, immerse/expose to water or other liquids or expose to fire, explosion, or other hazards.
Do not leave or store the equipment in or near areas that might get very hot, such as in a parked vehicle or near a radiator or other heat source. Do not place battery into a microwave oven or dryer.
Battery usage by children should be supervised.
Please follow local regulations in the proper disposal of used re-
chargeable batteries.
Seek medical advice immediately if a battery has been swallowed.
In the event of a battery leak, do not allow the liquid to come in
contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the
affected area with large amounts of water and seek medical advice.
If you suspect damage to your equipment or battery, contact Shin Heung Precision support to arrange for inspection.

1) Charging the battery from the device
Place the battery at the back of the device. Place the device on the
cradle and connect the power adapter with cord to the cradle to charge the battery.
2) Separately charging the battery To charge the battery separately from the device, place the battery on the back side of the cradle.

Mounting the Gun Handle
1) Insert the Gun Handle’s notch to the appropriate hole in the PDA in the
direction of the arrow as shown below.
2) After the Gun Handle is mounted on the PDA, turn the Gun Handle screws in the direction of the arrow as shown below.

Mounting the Handstrap
1) Use a + screwdriver to remove the Handstrap Bracket on PDA.
2) Put the bracket with Handstrap on the PDA and tighten the screws by a + screwdriver. Mount the Handstrap by attaching the Velcro as shown in the picture below.

Inserting the Micro SD Card
1) Remove the battery. Pull the connector cover of the Micro SD Card in
the direction of the arrow.
2) Open the connector cover, insert the Micro SD Card, and close the connector cover by pushing in the direction of the arrow.

Power
Turns on the device.
Send
Press Send key to start the phone program.
End
Press End key to end the phone program.
Scan
Activates the scanner or imager.
Soft
Access the command or menu above it on the screen.
Arrow (Left, Right) when pressed with Orange Key,
moves Left/Right one item.
Arrow (Up, Down)
Moves Up/Down one item.
Backlight On/Off
Turns the display backlight on and off.
Windows key when pressed with the Green Key.

Key Description
Shift
Change the state of alpha characters from lowercase to uppercase.
Press the Shift key once and then an alpha character key, the uppercase is entered.
Press the Shift key twice to lock this mode.
Press the Shift key a third time to unlock.
Function (Orange)
Use this key to access the secondary layer (shown on
the keypad in orange).
Function (Green)
Use this key to access the secondary layer (shown on the keypad in green).
Reset
Restart the system.
Alpha-Numeric
The default is Numeric characters input mode.

Shift

Initialization
1) When the system does not response you may need to soft reset the device by performing either of the following:
a. Press [Power] and [Reset] buttons simultaneously. b. Long press [Reset] button (More than 1 seconds).
To press [Reset] button, insert the stylus into the [Reset] button hole which can be found at the keypad of the device (please see illustration below for location).
2) When initializing the device all running programs will be terminated.
For hard (factory default) reset, please see VIII. Appendix – 2. Initialize to factory default.

Power On
Insert the battery into the device and press the Power button to turn ON the power.
When the device is powered ON, pressing the Power button for more than 3 seconds will display the Power OFF message box. Clicking Yes button in the message box will power OFF the system.
If the device does not turn ON, check the battery for proper charging.

Power On
Initial Setup or Reset
The first time you power on your device or every system reset, it performs the setup procedure:
1. It displays the “SAM4S” Logo screen for a while.
2. Then the initial startup screen will display. Tap the screen using the stylus to continue
3. From the align screen, use your stylus to calibrate the touch accuracy of the screen by both accurately and firmly tapping the center of each target (crosshair). Repeat this process for every target that appears until completed.
4. Other setup screens will be displayed (Date and Time / Password / e-mail). Feel free to configure each screen to your need.

How to use the stylus pen
This section describes the basic use of the stylus pen in running or moving programs on the touch screen.
Only use stylus pen that comes with this product or recommended by Shin Heung Precision. Other stylus pen can damage this product.
Tap: Selects an item (program) to run by tapping the stylus pen over the
item’s icon on the screen.
Scroll: Moving the stylus pen scrolls the page.

Screen description
Status Icon
The task bar that you normally find at the top of the screen is similar to that of the PC Windows. The icons displayed on the task bar indicates the status of the application and/or device it represents.
Icon Icon Description
Signal Strength Shows your current signal strength. (More bars =
stronger signal.)
No Service – Your device cannot find a usable signal.
Phone Antenna Disabled – Your device’s internal phone antenna
has been turned off.
Call in Progress – Your device is currently on an active call. Roaming – Your device is roaming and not on your home mobile
network.
Sync Connected Device is connected and communicating with your
computer via ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center.
Cellular Data Sending/Receiving – Data service is transmitting
and receiving data.
Cellular Data Unavailable – Data service is unavailable.
Battery Charge Level – Shows your current battery charge level.
(Icon shown is fully charged.)
Low battery – Shows your current battery charge level is low.

Screen description
Icon Icon Description
Battery Charging Shows the device is connected to a power cable
and is currently being charged.
Windows Start – Provides access to the Windows Menu page.
OK – Tap to accept and save the current page settings, and then exit.
Cancel/Exit – Tap to leave the current page without storing any
changes.
Speaker On – Your device’s speaker is active. Tap this icon to access
the onscreen Volume slider and adjust the volume level.
Vibrate Your device’s speaker is set to vibrate only. Tap this icon to
access the onscreen Volume slider and adjust the volume level.
Silence All – Your device has the ringer deactivated and the vibrate
option unchecked (disabled). No sound is made by the device.
Alarm – An alarm has been set on your phone.
Bluetooth Enabled – The Bluetooth technology is active and enabled.
Bluetooth Visible – The Bluetooth technology is active and the device
is visible.
Bluetooth Connected – The Bluetooth technology is active and
communicating (paired) with a target Bluetooth device.
Wi-Fi Inactive – Your Wi-Fi connection is inactive. Wi-Fi Active – Your Wi-Fi connection is active and communicating.
