READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance must be properly grounded. If it should malfunction or break down, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock. This appliance is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and grounding plug. The plug must be inserted into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
WARNING: Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Check with a qualified electrician or service person if you are in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded. Do not modify the plug provided with this appliance. If the plug will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
This appliance is for use in a nominal 120-volt circuit, and has a grounded plug that looks like the plug illustrated in sketch A. A temporary adapter that looks like the adapter illustrated in sketches B and C may be used to connect this plug to a 2-pole receptacle as shown in sketch B if a properly grounded outlet is not available. The temporary adapter should be used only until a properly grounded outlet (sketch A) can be installed by a qualified electrician. The rigid lug (usually green) extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground, such as a properly grounded outlet box cover. Whenever the adapter is used, it must be held in place by a metal screw.

FILLING THE WATER TANK
Always empty the water tank when the unit is not in use. Never store the Steam Wizard with water in the tank.
Disconnect the Steam Wizard from the wall socket before filling the water tank.
Place the unit so that the nozzle end points downward.
Remove the cap to the water tank by twisting it counterclockwise.
Slowly pour unheated/cool water into the opening.
Leave at least
1
/
2
inch of air space in the water tank.
Replace the water tank cap by twisting clockwise until it resists further tightening (about 1/4 turn). Do not over tighten. The cap will “lock” into place as indicated on the opening of the tank.
Maximum water level
NOTE: If the cap is difficult to remove, loosen by running under warm water or use a dry towel to get a firmer grip on the cap. Occasionally a pair of pliers may be required to loosen the cap.
WET OR DRY VACUUM
For maximum performance and product life, always empty and clean the collection chamber and the filter after every use.
Switch the Turbo Steam control to OFF.
Slide the function control to VACUUM.
Glide the nozzle over the debris or spill until it has been vacuumed into the collection chamber.
Do not allow the collection chamber to become too full.

STEAM AND STEAM SPRAY
Always test a small area of carpet or upholstery for color fastness before cleaning with water or cleaning solutions.
Switch the Turbo Steam control to ON. Wait one or two minutes to allow the water to become hot enough for the Steam Wizard to produce steam.
Slide the function control to STEAM. For stubborn stains the
STEAM SPRAY position can be used to dilute the stain with hot
water. Do not over-saturate the area with water.
Glide the nozzle over the stained area until the stain is lifted. Once the stain is removed, excess water can be removed by switching to VACUUM.
Do not allow the collection chamber to become too full.
When steam cleaning carpet, use the unit without any of the attachments in place.
Use the brush attachment for cleaning upholstery or fabric.
Only operate in these modes with water in the water tank.NOTE

Locking Tab
Disconnect the Steam Wizard from the wall socket and hold the unit over a wastebasket, pointing the nozzle down.
Release the locking tab located under the front of the nozzle. Pull the chamber away from the unit.when you open the collection chamber.
Refer to the parts diagram on the unit (visible once the chamber is removed). Remove, empty and clean all parts shown on the parts diagram.
Reassemble the unit to continue using the Steam Wizard. Once cleaning is complete, the chamber and attachments should be washed in warm soapy water before final reassembly and storage.
To empty the water tank, unplug the unit from the wall and hold it over a drain or sink. Remove the water tank cap and turn the nozzle up to drain the excess water from the tank.
DO NOT over tighten the water tank cap when replacing it. Tighten the cap only until resistance is felt and it cannot turn further without force.
The water tank must be emptied before the unit is stored.NOTE
Empty the chamber by shaking it over a wastebasket. Rinse the chamber and filter under running water to remove excess dirt.
STAIN REMOVAL TIPS
Always test clean a small section of the stained area first. Most cleaning agents will do damage to certain fabrics or dyes.
For most fresh spills, remove as much liquid as possible, as quickly as possible. Use the Steam Wizard vacuum to extract liquid from the carpet or upholstery before preparing to steam clean.
The exception to this is strong acids which should be flushed with water if possible, and then neutralized by sprinkling baking soda or ammonia solution onto the spill area. Acids are dangerous and it may be hard to prevent some damage from happening. Do not vacuum acid or allow it to dry until it has been neutralized.
Once most of the liquid is removed, the risk of a serious stain is greatly slowed down. Consider the best alternatives for removing the remainder of the spill and get started.
Avoid mixing cleaning solutions or agents other than with water, if you choose to use them. Some combinations can be deadly to you as well as your carpet.
Once you have removed the liquid from a spill, don’t add water until you are steam cleaning the area. Water will reactivate the stain and soak it deeper into the fabric.
Always first try to clean the spill with steam only. In most cases the steam will be able to eliminate the spill with the lowest possible risk for permanent damage. Boost your cleaning power by using a spray bottle to mist over the soiled area with a cleaning agent. Let the mist settle on the stain for a minute and then clean with the Steam Wizard. Use cleaning agents only as a last resort.
