Where is the OzoneGuard™?
This Ionic Breeze was packed with an OzoneGuard™ front grill already installed. To clean the OzoneGuard and the front grill, follow the directions for Thorough Cleaning of the front grill, found in this product instruction manual.
Note: The OzoneGuard cannot be detached from the front grill. The OzoneGuard has sharp edges; use caution when cleaning.
What does OzoneGuard do?
With the OzoneGuard in place, a significant portion of groundlevel ozone inside the air purifier — including any trace levels of ozone by-product — is converted into oxygen before the cleaned air circulates back into the room.
Why is the OzoneGuard smaller than the grill itself?
The majority of the air output is directed toward the center of the grill and therefore a larger OzoneGuard isn’t necessary.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Candles, gas heaters and other oil-burning products create soot. This soot can be distributed through a ventilation system and cause a sudden overload of soot to build up on around your Ionic Breeze. For better air quality and reduced cleaning, avoid burning candles indoors and have gas appliances checked on a regular basis.

This Professional Plus™ model features 3 charged collection blades separated by 2 driver blades. This improves the particle capture rate.
Cleaning the grid is required every one or two weeks.
1. Before cleaning, unplug the unit.
2. Remove the collection grid by pulling it from the top of the unit.
3. Use a dry or slightly damp towel or sponge to quickly wipe the dust from each of the collection bars. Or, wash the grid under running water and allow it to dry.
4. Before replacing the grid, invert the main housing two or three times.
Beads inside the unit slide up and down, removing particle
buildup from the ionizing wires and helping maintain silent operation.

Additional Information
The exterior of the unit can be cleaned using a cloth or sponge and a solution of one part household bleach to five parts water or any bleach-based cleaning spray for household use.
Allow the surface to dry completely before plugging it back into an outlet.
IMPORTANT: For better air quality and reduced cleaning, avoid burning candles and have gas appliances checked on a regular basis. Soot produced by burning oil-based products will adhere to plastic and be more difficult to clean from the product.
