Introduction
The Soft-Touch 6-In-1 Wireless IR Remote can operate up to six different machines. One device controls your TV, DVD, VCR, audio, satellite and cable. The database supports up to 500 different brands and models. An EL backlight automatically illuminates the controls when it’s picked up. The remote also allows you to conduct an automatic or manual code search for a particular device. You may need to review the operating manuals of your original devices to refresh yourself regarding the functions of those units.

4. Press the button. The LED should illuminate. If it doesn‘t, check the batteries and try again.
Entering a Code Manually
1. Turn on the device (TV, VCR, DVD, SAT, CAB, AUD) you wish to program manually.
2. Use the code tables in the back of this manual to locate the list of codes for the brand name of the device you wish to program.
3. Press and hold the button for the device you wish to program (TV, VCR, DVD, SAT, CAB, AUD) for more than three seconds; the red LED will illuminate. This indicates that the remote control is ready to accept a 3-digit code.
4. Within 30 seconds, enter the 3-digit code listed for your brand of device; the LED shuts off. This indicates that the remote control is programmed.
5. Press the ON/OFF Button to verify correct code entry. If the device shuts off, no further programming is required.
6
Entering a Code Manually
6. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 2-5, using a different 3-digit code listed for that device.
Note: If your device does not respond, try all the codes for your brand. If the codes do not work or your brand is not on the list, try the Power Scan programming.
Entering a Code (PowerScan)
With PowerScan programming, the remote control tests all the codes available in the code list and assigns the correct code for the selected de
vice. Although this method may take longer, it eliminates the need to look up codes and enter them manually.
1. Manually turn off the device you
wish to program (TV, VCR, DVD, SAT, CAB, AUD).
2. Press and hold the appropriate
button (TV, VCR, DVD, SAT, CAB, AUD) until the red LED illumi
nates. This indicates the remote control is in programming mode.
3. Press and release the
button. The LED flashes once and stays on, indicating that the remote is in PowerScan mode.
7
Entering a Code (PowerScan)
4. Press either the CH+ or CH- button repeatedly until the device switches on. The CH+ button searches up in the code list; the CH– button searches down.
5. When the device turns on, press and release the
SELECT button to store the new code and exit. To exit without setting the code, press the CLEAR Button.
Note: If you press CH+ or CH– again after the device turns on, the device will not be programmed; you will need to repeat steps 1-5 again.
6. As a test, press
VOL+ or VOL– button. If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 1-5.
Note: If your device does not respond after trying all codes avail
able in the code list, this remote may not support your device. Contact Customer Service for assistance.
Reminder: If you find your device, e.g. TV, is not fully controllable by the remote control, you may have set the code number incorrectly or there may be some newer models of devices that have not been entered in the code list.
8
Entering a Code (PowerScan)
Enter another code number manually for the same brand. Or you can use the PowerScan function (i.e. auto search) to find the channel. For details, refer to the Programming sections of this manual.
Sometimes you may enter the right codes, but the viewing channel can
not be changed. Because some TV models may use other methods to enter the channel number, press the
-/-- and the ENTER button to change the channel.
