The Hummer®Shake Flashlight features a powerful magnet that
slides back and forth between rings of metal coils inside the
shock-resistant, weatherproof housing. Faraday’s Law of
Induction describes how this rapid relative motion generates an
electric current.

•IMPORTANT: There is a strong magnetic field surrounding the
flashlight. We recommend that you keep the flashlight 14 inches away from pacemakers as well as cassette tapes, computer
floppies, video tapes, credit cards, televisions, computer monitors and devices that contain a cathode ray tube.
•Do not attempt to remove the LED or any internal part.
Quick Start
1. Make sure the flashlight is off.
2. Hold it horizontally and shake moderately two to three times
per second. The flashlight provides up to five minutes of continuous light when shaken for 30 seconds.
3. To turn the flashlight on, press the ON/OFF button.

Charging the Shake Flashlight
No battery is required for the flashlight. To charge it, just shake it.
1. Turn off the flashlight.
2. Hold it horizontally and shake moderately two to three times
per second. (See Fig. 1) The flashlight provides up to five
minutes of continuous light when charged for 30 seconds.

Note: We recommend that you do NOT shake the flashlight vertically. This is not an optimal method for charging. The charging
magnet might hit the end of the flashlight.

•The flashlight provides up to five minutes of continuous light
when charged for 30 seconds.
•If the flashlight is completely drained, it requires approximately
180 shakes (three shakes per second for 60 seconds) to fully
charge the capacitor.
•For prolonged use, the flashlight should be turned off and shaken 10 to 15 seconds every two to three minutes.
Switching on the Flashlight
1. Charge the flashlight by shaking it. (See Charging the Shake
Flashlight section.)
2. To turn the flashlight on, press the ON/OFF button.
3. To turn the flashlight off, press the ON/OFF button again.

•To clean the housing, use only warm water and mild soap.
•Rinse with fresh water.
•Clean the lens with a glass cleaner.
•Do not use petroleum distillates (such as gasoline or kerosene)
or solvents such as acetone to clean any part of the flashlight.

What Is Covered
This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship, with the exceptions stated below.
How Long Coverage Lasts
This warranty runs for 90 days from the date of original purchase.
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or use other than as intended and described in the
product instruction manual, or loss or damage to batteries or removable parts.
What The Sharper Image Will Do
The Sharper Image will repair any defects in materials or workmanship. In the event repair is not possible,
The Sharper Image will either replace this product with one of similar features and price, or refund the full
purchase price of the product, whichever you prefer.
