1. Measure to alleviate problems of abnormal noise in the transport section.

2.General: There was a problem of abnormal noise in the transport section of the models listed

above. As a measure to alleviate this problem, a change has been carried out in the fixing roller. The new fixing roller is a sponge-type. (Changes have been carried out in only the 2 locations specified in the figure shown below.)

2. Measure to reinforce the cam in the transport section.

1.Model Name: SF-S55/S55N

2.General: There were some problems of damage which sometimes occurred to the cam in the

transport section of the models listed above when copy paper jams occurred and the jammed copy paper was removed from the machines. As a measure to alleviate this trouble, an increase in the thickness of the cam has been carried out to reinforce it. The thickness of the cam has been increased to 0.3 mm.

3.Action: Running change from 1998 mid-September production.

3. Change carried out in the shape of the main frame.

2.General: It became necessary to lower the position of the attachment holes in the main frame of

model AR-S51, and in accordance with this change, the same change has been carried out in the main frame of model SF-S54, which is the base machine of the series.

3.Action: From 1998 mid-October production.
