2.General: The manual paper feed arm used in the manual multi paper feeding unit of the models
listed above is now being used with other models. This action has been carried out as a
measure to improve productivity.
3.Action: From the start of 1998 January production.
2. Action to alleviate problems of paper jams occurring before the PS.

2.General: A change has been carried out in the shape of the front and rear PS front sheets which
are presently attached. This action has been carried out as a measure to alleviate
problems of jams which had been occurring in front of the PS roller.

∗ The adhesive tape of PS front sheet FN and RN
(as seen in diagram b shown below) is 10 mm longer
than the adhesive tape of PS front sheet F and R
(as seen in diagram a shown below).
Care should be exercised to wipe the adhesive faces
with alcohol.

3. Action to alleviate problems of toner dropping due to paper dust.

2.General: There have been problems of toner dropping when carrying out copy operations using
Chinese paper due to the dust from the paper. As a measure to alleviate this problem, a
change has been carried out in the toner receptor sheet assembly. In addition to this
change, the blade sheet has been discontinued.
3.Action: ∗ Japanese domestic production: From the start of 1998 February production.
Chinese (SOCC) production: From the start of 1998 March production.
French (SMF) production: From the start of 1998 April production.
