manual lower paper guide. This action has been carried out as a measure to alleviate
problems of return misses of the PPD (paper transport sensor).

2. Measure to alleviate out-of-focus problems caused by shocks, etc.

2.General: There was a possibility of out-of-focus problems occurring due to broken pawl between

the rack gear and the 4th and 5th drive gears caused by the 4th and 5th mirror units
being moved by hand during service operations, or from severe shocks incurred during
transport operations of the machine. As a measure to alleviate this problem, a change
has been carried out in the shape of the rack gear. In accordance with this change a
change has also been carried out in the fixing screws of the 4th and 5th drive gears.
