MEASURE TO PREVENT TONER FROM FALLING OUT OF THE DR CLEANER UNIT.

1.Model Name: SF-2040

2.General: There was a possibility of toner falling out of the DR cleaner unit. As a measure to

alleviate this problem the following action was carried out.

3.Cause: A portion of the CL screw sheet attachment surface was particularly narrow, and when this portion of the attachment surface warped and became raised up it was possible for the toner to escape and leak out of the gap which resulted between surfaces.

4.Description: As a measure for preventing the toner from leaking out of the DR cleaner unit, a reinforcement sheet has been added, being attached over the CL screw sheet.

⋅ The reinforcement sheet is attached while wrapping the CL screw sheet. ⋅ The attachment surfaces should be wiped clean with alcohol.

5.Action: From the start of 1997 January production.
