1. IC damage prevention and BL error prevention.
1.Model name: SF-2025/2030/2040
2.General: Diodes have been added to the main PWB as a measure to improve the problems
described below.
(1) T o prevent damage to the IC due to the ADF connector insertion when the machine
is turned ON.
(2) To prevent BL error flashing due to high voltage leaks.
(3) Circuit additions in accordance with the addition of a DFM. (This measure has been
carried out only on model SF-2040.)
3.Description: Measure for problems (1) and (2) described above.:
Diodes (VHD1SS133//-1) have been added to the main PWB.
Added location → D134, D135, D136, D138 have been silk screened.
Measure for problem (3) described above. (carried out only on model SF-2040):
A diode (VHDDSM1D1//-1) has been added to the main PWB.
Added location → D137 has been silk screened.
The silk screening on the main PWB has been changed in accordance with the
changes described above.

4.Action: From the start of 1996 February production. (Back side attachment of the above parts
has been carried out as a temporary measure since the start of mass production.)

2.General: (1) The shape of cover D of the DV unit has been changed in order to eliminate black
streaks and alleviate rising temperatures.

3.Measure to prevent the harness from being pinched.
1.Model name: SF-2025/2030/2040
2.General: When OR guide R (P/G ) is attached during production operations, the is a danger

of the harness connecting the operation panel with the main PWB being pinched when
being secured. To alleviate this danger the measure described below has been carried
out.
3.Description: The harness protect sheet has been changed to one with double-sided tape attached to
the upper surface. The harness is secured by the double-sided tape on the upper
surface of the harness protect sheet, preventing it from being pinched.

4.Measure to prevent the solenoid attachment plate from distorting.
1.Model name: SF-2025/2030/2040
2.General: When double sided copy operations are carried out continuously for a long period of
time under high temperatures, a rise in temperature occurs in the reversion solenoid
used in the rear frame, creating the danger of distortion or warping in the solenoid
attachment plate due to the heat. To alleviate this problem the solenoid has been
changed to one with a higher coil resistance, to maintain the temperature of the
solenoid at a lower degree.
3.Action: SF-2040 → From 1995 mid-October production.
