2. General: The following information is being added to the service manuals for the models listed

above.

3. Description: The position of the fusing unit’s upper and lower peel-off nails should be changed when
maintenance is done. The following gives details of the procedures.

(1) Upper separation pawl

As shown in the diagram below, the position of this part changes since the location from
which the spring is hung changes.

(2) Lower separation pawl

Remove the central screw and loosen the screws on both sides, as shown in the
diagram below. Then move the peel-off nail attachment board to the right or left to
change its position.
