1. Regarding blank areas on copies
1.Model Name: Z-20/25/27
2.General: There may be blank areas on copies when the machines operate in high humidity. This
was the subject of Technical Report SP-1885/1904. There are some further
improvements planned to the parts involved, however. Please note the following.
3.Description: In order to stabilize electrical discharge from the corona in the charger, the shape of the
charger holder has changed as follows.

2. Regarding the CE mark.
1.Model Name: Z-20/25/27, 200 V version.
2.General: In compliance with CE mark regulations in Europe, the following improvements are
being made. Although the changes are only required in Europe, they will take effect in
all 200V regions.
3.Description In order to improve the noise damping qualities of the unit, the following parts will be
altered or added.
(1) A main PWB capacitor has been added.

(3) To improve the noise damping of the unit, we have decided to move the harness
farther away from the bias transformer. As a result, the length of these parts has been
changed.

(4) The leaflet regarding the CE mark and the user’s manual will be inserted into one
vinyl packing bag.
For machines complying to CE mark regulations, a CE mark label will be attached to
the main unit and to the packing case.
The part codes for parts which have been affected by the changes described in (1) to
(3) have changed.Old or new parts may be used for units produced before the changes
for CE mark regulations. However, for parts produced after the changes, only new parts
may be used.
4.Action: From the first unit of July, 1995 production.
