MEASURES TO PREVENT THE FUSING GEAR FROM BREAKING.

1.Model name: Z-30

2.General: Cases of the fusing gear breaking (split apart) sometimes occurred. To alleviate this

problem the following measures have been carried out.

3.Description: Most of the cases of broken gears occurred during the molding process at the

three-point gate when the plastic parts collided with the welded section of the gears. The following improvement measures have been carried out.

(1) The molding temperature during the molding process has been improved, as well as

the drying conditions of the base materials used.

(2) By changing the three-point gate to a one-point gate the welding spots were reduced

to only one spot.

4.Action: Chinese (GE) production:From 1995 mid-June production.
