1.REGARDING PROBLEMS WITH THE LENS ISOLATION SHEET.

2.REGARDING JAMS CAUSED BY IMP ROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE PAPER DETECTOR.

1. Regarding problems with the lens isolation sheet.

1.Model Name: SF-2116/ 21 18/1016/1018

2.General: When the optical unit lens moves into position for magnification, the lens isolation sheet

may be pulled out of alignment towards the zoom base, or come loose from the dark box cover. In order to prevent this problem, the following changes have been made.

3.Description: A bow had been added to the lens isolation sheet but the direction of its bend tended to change under pressure. Therefore, other improvements have been made to the part.

2. Regarding jams caused by improper functioning of the paper detector.

1.Model Name: SF-2116/ 21 18/1016/1018/CM15

2.General: The following changes are being carried out to prevent paper jams caused by problems

with the paper detector in the PID PWB and the DPPD PWB.

3.Description: (1) To raise the sensitivity of the sensor, a resistor is being added to the back of the

PWB.

(2) We are also planning improvements to the sensor detector IC which is in the motor

control PWB for the DPPD sensor in the 2-4 cassettes.

4.Action: (1) From the middle of July, 1995 production on. (2) From the middle of Aug., 1995 production on.
