SHARP SP1911 Technical Report

Date: Jul. 31, 1995
COPIER : SF-2035/1025
No. : SP-1911
CONCERNING AN UPGRADE IN ROM.
1.Model Name: SF-2035/1025
2.General: For the reasons listed below , there may be leaks of static electricity in the machine. As
a result of such leaks, the IC (ROM) in the main PWB may malfunction so that the copy count does not cycle properly. The new ROM should eliminate this problem.
(Cause of problem) Inadequate grounding of electricity may result if the unit is cleaned improperly, if maintenance is carried out while the power is on, or if the unit and its pedestal are not screwed together correctly.
3.Description: (1) In the old version, counter data was backed up when the power was turned off. The new version of the ROM is designed to back up counter data at the completion of each copying job. Since the software for the IC (ROM) of the main PWB has therefore been changed, the part codes have changed as well.
This change is effective as of May, 1995 production for most models, but other changes were carried out for the SF-2035 previously. This report covers both sets of changes.
About the upgrade in ROM SF-2035
ROM version
Ver. 3.67
Ver. 3.68
Period of
change
From Feb., 1995 production on
From May, 1995 production on
Type of change Notes
1. Eliminates the problem of the machine resetting itself when malfunctions of the main motor lock(L4-01) occurred
2. When storage auditor mode was selected, if malfunctions occurred in the number input mode (when the main unit is “not ready”), the error codes were not displayed. This new version eliminates that problem.
1. The timing in which backing up of counter data occurs has changed. (From occurring during power-down to occurring as each job is completed.)

1. The timing in which backing up of counter data occurs has changed. (From occurring during power-down to occurring as each job is completed.)
(2) There have been improvements made to the ground wire
for the TC case unit. As result, the materials and shape of the base spring of the charger case have been changed. (The changes only affect the rear side. The front side has not been changed.)
Make sure the front of round spring doesn’t go past this wall.
(For use in the marketplace)
SF-2035 Exchange the ROM (Ver. 3.68) and the charger case plate spring.
SF-1025 Exchange the ROM (Ver. 3.01) and the charger case plate spring.
Please change both the spring and the ROM mentioned in this Technical Report at the
same tim e .
4.Action: From May, 1995 production, from the first unit produced on.
