2.General: Var ious changes and additions have been carried out on parts in the models listed above, and are hereby reported. Please refer to the parts lists for changes in the parts names and parts codes.
1. Changes in the lengths of each harness have been carried out to improve
operationability.

2. A change in the shape of the connection duct has been carried out. In accordance
with this change a mylar sheet which had been attached to prevent loose connections (Reported in T echnical Reports no. SP-1874 ) has become unnecessary and has been discontinued.

3. As a counter measure for copy image blurring and black streaks, a spacer had been
added to prevent the SPF glass retainer from moving or becoming loose (Reported in Technical Report no. SP-1874.), but a change in the shape of the SPF glass retainer has made the spacer and the mylar unnecessary, and they have both been discontinued.
Effective time: From 1995 mid-April production.
4. A fusing blade plate and scraper sheet has been attached from the start of mass
production to prevent the upper heat roller in the fusing unit from becoming dirty with paper dust. In reality, however, assembly and installment of these two parts on machines already out on the market is extremely difficult, and therefore full y ass emble d “fusing scraper units” are instead offered as service parts.

5. During the assembly operations of the operation panel, the screws designated by the
arrows in the figure to the right were too short, causing partial tightening problems. To alleviate this problem, the long screws have been changed.

6. The shapes of the REND sheet and the DV REND seal , which have been attached to
prevent toner from scattering, have been changed to improve operationability.
