1. Prevention of manual solenoid operation malfunctions in the manual multi paper
feeder unit.
1.Model name: SF-MF14/SN-MF11 (U.S.A. only)
2.General: Problems with the manual solenoid failing to draw properly occasionally occurred in the
manual paper feeder unit. As a temporary measure to alleviate the problem, an ABS
with a thickness of 1 mm was inserted under the solenoid to shorten the stroke, but as
a permanent measure the shape of the solenoid has been changed.
3.Action: From the start of 1995 March production.
2. Grid voltage excess over specifications.

2.General: When the harness from the high voltage PWB approaches too near to high voltage
lines, the effects of noise caused the grid voltage surpassed the specifications. This
problem occurred on the production line, however, and measures have been taken to
alleviate the problem.
3.Description: As shown in the figure below, a wire band has been added to prevent the harness from
coming too close to the high voltage lines.

3. Measures to prevent the air filter in the upper part of the rear cabinet from clogging.

2.General: Under normal running conditions there are no problems with the air filter installed inside
the upper part of the rear cabinet, but during long copy testing operations the possibility
of filter clogging does exist. To eliminate this possibility the shape of the air filter has
been changed.
