1. Regarding blank areas on copies.

2.General: When paper with a tendency to absorb humidity is used, a leak may occur along the
anti-static sheet while the paper is passing through the TC unit, resulting in poor copies.
This problem does not occur when using normal copy paper. To prevent this, we have
changed the placement of the TC case’s anti-static sheet for all units produced from the
middle of Oct., 1994. As shown below, we have lowered the sheet. However, as it is
difficult to change the location of the sheet for those units produced before Oct., 1994,
we have created a new set of parts, known as the AC guide unit, consisting of the AC
guide, AC guide miler and the anti-static sheet.

cassette and the Joule unit. As a preventive measure, a spacer was placed to the side
of the second transport cover. From now on there will be a rib on the second transport
cover.
