2. Improvement of insulation in dehumidification heater in optical unit

2.General: When the CL lead ground terminal of the light source unit was fixed near the
dehumidification heater terminal as shown in below illustration, insulation between
these two terminals become imperfect. We have changed the dehumidification heater
tube to longer one.

3. Prevention of dark box contacting dehumidification heater during wearing or taking
off it

2.General: The market and Xerox Co., Ltd. pointed that the dark box cover may contact the
dehumidification heater terminals when it is worn or taken off. We have attached the
insulation sheet to the dark box cover inside to make insulation perfect.

4. Removal of dark box cover during transportation

2.General: The removal of dark box from the optical unit occurred during transportation.
3.Description: (1) We have changed one of three screws
which fix the lens unit (shown in right) to
the step screw. This is made to prevent
the dark box removal.

5. Prevention of blur in copy edge

2.General: The pulley attachment plate R inside the 2/3 mirror unit contacted screws which
attached wire fixing plate inside the light source unit during the machine production.
This caused blur on the copy edge. We have changed the screw length to prevent this.
3.Description: We have changed the screws shown in below illustration to the shorter things. (both
rear and front frame sides)

6. Light leakage from AE holder of optical unit

2.General: Light of the light source unit leaked from the AE holder of the optical unit during the
machine production. This influenced to the half tone copying. We have attached a cover
to the AE holder to prevent this.
There is no problem in the characters copying or black solid copying.
