PREVENTION OF COIL FOR TORQUE LIMITTER DROPPING INSIDE REVERSE ROLLER SHAFT UNIT

1.Model name: SF-2022, 2027, 2035, 1025

2.General: The coil spring for the torque limitter used in the reverse roller shaft unit sometimes

dropped between the gear and the roller under the following conditions. Paper jamming occurred in the manual paper feeding mode. Remove jammed paper without pressing the depressing lever.

3.Description: We have prevented dropping by cutting the margin between the gear and the roller. We have changed one of the poly-slider W (t=0.3) to the poly-slider W (t=0.6) as shown in the illustration below, pointed by an arrow mark.

➀ Remove the E ring on the side of SP clutch. ➁ Replace one of the poly-slider W (t=0.3) with

that of (t=0.6).

➂ Attach the E ring again.

4.Action: From mid-August 1994 production
