PREVENTION OF JAMS CAUSED BY LOWER GUIDE SCRATCHES IN THE PAPER SUPPLY CASSETTE UNIT

1.Model name: SF-D21

2.General: Paper jams have been found to occur due to scratches on the lower guide in the paper

supply cassette unit. The following measures have now been taken to prevent this.

LCC guide (metal sheet)

<Cause>

Vibrations occur in all directions when the cassette is distorted or forcefully removed. This causes the LCC guide to scratch the lower guide in the paper supply unit.

3.Description: Mount a spacer onto the LCC guide as shown in the diagram. This will narrow the gap and prevent contact even if vibrations occur during insert or removal of the cassette.
