1. Prevention of abnormal noises in the optical unit

1.Model name: SF-2022, 2027, 2035, 1025

2.General: The mirror base drifts alternately to the front and rear during scanning. The base was

found touch the edges of the opti cal plate causing abnormal noises to occur. Temporary measures as shown below have been taken to prevent the above.

3.Description: Approximately 0.5g of white grease was applied to the rail bottom on the rear side so the mirror base can move smoothly . This loosens the grip of the vibration proof roller and prevents the mirror base from drifting.

➀Use a brush or minus screw driver to apply 0.5g of white

grease (the size of a rice grain) to the bottom side of the upper rail just above the caulking hole.

➁Run the scan two or three times to allow the

mirror base to run in.

➂Check to see that no abnormal noises

occur during scanning.

Note:

• Be careful not to accidentally apply grease on the mirror, lens and table glass.

• Avoid spattering grease when running a scan.

2.Changes to black steel plate for black box cover upper to improve productivity

1.Model name: SF-2022, 2027, 2035, 1025

2.General: Production of the optical unit has been transferred to production in China. In

accordance, the black electroplated coating used for the black box cover upper has been discontinued. A change has now been made to use a black steel plate for improved productivity. A Himeron (sheet on black box upper) has been mounted to the black steel plate to prevent straying lights.

3.Description:
