IMPROVEMENT OF JAM DISPLAY DUE TO MALFUNCTION OF RESET SWITCH IN THE PAPER DISCHARGE ACTUATOR

2.General: A mylar has been added to hold down the lever for the paper discharge switch actuator.

This is to prevent paper jam display due to malfunction of the reset switch in the paper discharge actuator. Changes have already been enforced on units not listed above. Refer to Technical Report SP-1762 for details.

• Use the MS-2 (paper discharge SW) notched hole as a reference when mounting the mylar onto the motor base plate. Mount the mylar as shown in the diagram to the left.

Precaution:

• Be sure to cleanse the mounting area with alcohol.

• Mount the mylar securely onto the motor base plate.

4.Action: May 1994 production, 1st unit.
