1. Prevention of boss breakage in the lens carriage to improve productivity

2.General: Spacers were added in Technical Report No. SP-1757. This was carried out to prevent
boss breakage caused by repeated cabinet opening and closing during paper jams. The
spacer has now been discontinued. Two ribs each have been added to strengthen both
sides of the cabinet. See diagram below.

2. Discontinuance of table cushion and changes to lens drive pulley boss to improve
productivity

2.General: The table glass cushion (large) has been discontinued to improve productivity.
The boss shape for the lens drive pulley has been changed to improve operability.
3.Description: • Discontinuance of table cushion (large) for paper discharge only. (Table cushion for
paper supply has already been discontinued.)
• Changes to boss length for lens drive pulley (16.5 to 20.0) and discontinuance of E
ring groove Parts guide No. 12 -73 (Current and new bosses are interchangeable.
Parts code remain unchanged.)
4.Action: From May 1994 production, 1st unit.
3. Corrections to misprint in Technical Report No. SP-1526
1.General: There was a misprint in the parts lists for Technical Report No. SP-1526. The entries,
“Front side” and “Rear side” should be switched around.
