Date: May. 10, 1994
COPIER : Z-88
1.TROUBLE SHOOTING BLACK STREAKS DUE TO IMPROPER CLEANING.
2.TROUBLE SHOOTING Q1 DAMAGE CAUSED BY LOCKING OF THE PF ROLLER A (PERMANENT MEASURE).
1.Trouble shooting black streaks due to improper cleaning.
1.Model name: Z-50, 70, 72, 85, 88
2.General: In cases where the drum cartridge has been stored for long periods of time, or when the
copy volume is so low that the drum cartridge has been installed for an extremely long period of time (more than one year), the cleaning blade changes and the resilience of the blade diminishes (meaning that the pressure applied to the drum is weakened). This causes problems of improper cleaning. To alleviate this problem, the material used in the cleaning blades has been changed.
No. : SP-1726
3.Description: The material used in the cleaning blades has been changed to a more permanent material. In accordance with this change, a J will be added to the end of the lot number to aid in distinguishing between the old parts and the new ones.
(Old) (New) UCLEZ0071FCZZ UCLEZ0071FCZ1
* To prevent improper cleaning during paper feeding operations, some models have
mylar sheets attached to the cleaning blades. These cleaning blades with the mylar sheets attached have also been changed in the same manner as described above, and the double sided tape and contact glue have been discontinued. (The parts codes for the cleaning blade units with the mylar sheets attached have also been changed as described below.)
(Old) (New) CCLEZ0071FC01 CCLEZ0071FC02 In accordance with this change, the lot number and label color of the drum cartridge have also been changed.
Models affected by the change :
Models and destinations using UCLEZ0071FCZ7. Z-50, 52, 52II, 55, 57, 57II, 70, 72, 75, 85, 85II, 88 (except for those machines bound for Austral i a).

4.Action: (Factory action)
From 1994 Mid-February production (SMF production lots from 1994 May production).
Optional drum cartridges have also had the same changes carried out.
2.Trouble shooting Q1 damage caused by locking of the PF roller A (Permanent measure).
1.Model name: Z-88, SF-2010, Z-85 (II), 52 (II), 57 (II)
2.General: The addition of mylar sheets (PSHEP3628FCZZ) as trouble shooting measures to
prevent Q1 damage from occurring from the locking of PF roller A in models Z-88 and SF-2010 was reported in T/R SP-1666, but as a permanent measure, a change in the lower frame base plate shape has been carried out to prevent the copy paper from wrapping around PF roller A. (In accordance with this change the mylar sheets have been discontinued in the production operations, but the mylar sheets will continued to be supplied as service and maintenance parts to support market needs.)
3.Description: Ribs have been added to the PF roller a section in the lower frame base plate, to prevent copy paper from wrapping and locking the PF roller A. The problem mentioned above had occurred in models Z-88 and SF-2010, but models Z-85 (II), 52 (II), 57 (II) are of the same type and have therefore also had the above changes carried out.
Changed lower frame base plate (Added ribs)
4.Action: (Factory action)
Z-88/SF-2010: From 1994 February production. All other models will undergo running change from 1994 Mid-February production.
* For market action, please use the PF roller A mylar sheets.
