TROUBLESHOOTING F1-05 TROUBLE. (ACCORDING TO THE COMBINATION OF SF-2022 / 2027 + SF-S15)
1.General: F1-05 trouble sometimes occurs due to special conditions arising from the combination
of model SF-2022 / 2027 and SF-S15. To alleviate this problem the software of the PBA control PWB of model SF-S15 has been changed.
2.Cause: It has been determined that the F1-05 trouble is caused when the indexer motor switches to the ON position at point A in the figure shown below (6.3 seconds after the ready lamp of the unit is set to the ON position). A bug in the software prevents the indexer from detecting that it has reached the home position, allowing it to rise enough for the upper limit sensor to switch to the ON position. In the case of model SF - S15, it takes approximately 3.4 seconds to move from 20 Bin (the lowest Bin) to the home position, and for an interval of between 2.9 seconds and 6.3 seconds after the ready lamp is switched to the ON position the activation of the CA key (switching it to the ON position) will cause the F1 trouble to occur. When the indexer is at the 10 Bin position, it takes approximately 1.7 seconds to move to the home position, and therefore the F1 trouble will also occur if the CA key is activated between 4.6 seconds and 6.3 seconds after the ready lamp is switched to the ON position. In other words, the F1 trouble will occur in accordance with certain combinations of the Bin position and the CA key activation (switching to the ON position) timing, and will not occur with other combinations of these two factors.

3.Description: By improving the testing efficiency during the production process and correcting the bug in the software, the ROM software has been changed as described below. These changes have been carried out from 1993 May production.
Changes in the software:
1. The indexer moves to the 11 Bin position when the push switch is depressed during the sensor adjustment mode.
2. When a paper discharge command is received from the main unit after a jam occurs, the received command is considered ineffective. When the received command is effective, the indexer stops moving in accordance with the indexer move command after the jam has been alleviated.
3. A bug in the software which caused the indexer to move to the limit position when the clear key is depressed after copy operations have been carried out and completed has been corrected.
Note: Due to slight differences in the options that can be combined with the SF-2035, a
portion of the software for models SF-2022 / 2027 is different than the software for model SF-2035, and as a result, this problem has not occurred with model SF-2035.
4.Action: (Factory action) From 1993 May production.
