PREVENTION OF DAMAGE TO THE SHAFT
SECTION OF THE TONER BOX COVER.
1.Model name: SF-9400, 8570, 8870, 8875.
2.General: Due to assembly inconsistencies, if the toner hopper is set when the lid of the toner box
is not closed properly, the bent portion of spring L sometimes gets caught on the edge
of the toner lid. This causes undue pressure on the shaft section of the lid, from which
damage to the shaft can occur. To alleviate this problem, the load of the right and left
spring L has been changed. The shape of spring L has also been changed. Note: the
changes described above are changes designed to improve the overall performance of
the unit. The basic cause of the problem described above is that the toner hopper is set
without completely closing the lid of the toner box properly. When this is done, the MG
catch section of the machine presses down upon the lid of the toner hopper, causing a
heavy load to be put on the shaft section when the lid closes. The user should be
instructed to hold the areas marked by green with both hands, and insert the toner
hopper until it is securely set by the magnet clamps.
3.Description: The load of the hopper lid spring and the diameter have been changed. In addition, the
direction of the bent end of the spring on the left side has been changed so that it
bends outward.
Load: 25 Kg → 16.5 Kg
Diameter: φ1.0 → φ0.9
Changed load of spring R.
Damage has
occurred to this shaft.
Changed load of spring L and direction of bent
edge changed so that it bends outward.
