PROTECTING THE VARISTER FROM DAMAGE (100V SERIES)

1.Model name: Z-30

2.General: To protect the varister (B1) from damaged by a surge voltage, the heat resisting tube

and protect cove had been added. To further increase the safety, the varister is replaced by an arrestor.

3.Reason: This is to protect the varister from being damaged, as well as avoiding damage to the clutch unit.

4.Description: The varisters (B1, B2) from replaced by arrestors and resistors to withstand the surge voltage damage.

Varisters (B1, B2) are replaced by arrestors.

In accordance with these changes the heat resistant tube incorporated from July, 1992 and the protective cover incorporated from January, 1993 have both been eliminated.
