CHANGE IN SOFTWARE FOR MODEL SF-S53.
1. PREVENTION OF DIAGONAL PAPER OUTPUT FOR A4R (LETTER R) SIZE COPY PAPER.
2. PREVENTION OF SELECTION ARM MALFUNCTIONS DURING THE MANUAL STAPLE COPY MODE.
3. PREVENTION OF F1-00 ERRORS OCCURRING DURING OPENING AND CLOSING OF THE DOOR ON THE SORTER SIDE OF THE MACHNIE.

1.General: Correction of the trouble described below has been carried out for model SF-S53 by changing the software used in the machine.
sometimes occurs during sort mode copy operations.
2. Selection arm malfunctions sometimes occur during manual staple mode copy
operations.
If non-sort mode copy operations (example: A4 R size copy paper) are carried out
without removing the copy paper from the bin after sort mode copy operations (example: A4 size copy paper), and then after completion manual staple mode copy operations are carried out, the selection arm moves to the non-sort mode copy paper size (example: A4 R size) position, pressing down on the sort mode copy paper (example: A4 size).
The same problem occurs after the interrupt key is depressed and non-sort copy
operations are carried out after sort copy operations.
3 Prevention of F1-00 errors from occurring during opening and closing of the door on
the sorter side of the machine.
3.Cause: 1. Variations in copy paper output volume are such that when there is a large volume of
copy paper output, the selection arm moves while the copy paper is still returning to the rear edge of the bin. This causes the copy paper to gather on one side, causing diagonal copy paper output.
2. Paper size selection data was rewritten during non-sort copy operations. 3-1. When used with the SD-2060 model.
The initialization of the conveyor motor is stopped by the opening of the door. When the door is then closed the sorter reinitializes itself. As a result when the main power of the machine is turned on and the door switch of the sorter switches back and forth between on and off, the machine continues operations without giving transmission permission for the sorter transmission request, and when the sorter gives the transmission command an “F1-00" error occurs.
3-2. When used with the SF-2035 model.
When the sorter door is opened during conveyor motor initialization, the sorter is busy with the initialization process.

When a command from the machine is continually received during this condition, the command buffer becomes full, and an ”F1 - 00" error occurs.
4.Description: 1. The software has been changed to slow the output speed to 70 mm / sec less than the current speed. When copy paper is output, the flight of the copy paper into the bin is more controlled, so that each page completely returns to the rear end of the bin before the next page is output.
2. The software has been changed so that the paper size selection data is not rewritten during non-sort copy operations.
3-1. The software has been changed so that when the sorter door is closed, the sorter
does not reinitialize itself. Instead the machine sends a reinitialization command to the sorter, and initialization of the conveyor motor is carried out by a pin home position command.
3-2. The software has been changed so that when the sorter door is opened during the
conveyor motor initialization process, the initializat ion process is terminated at its midway stage.
To carry out the above software changes, the sorter control PWB parts have been changed as follows.
