[ Trouble-shooting ]

TROUBLE-SHOOTING OF MOVING ORIGINAL EXPOSURE GLASS PLATE AND HOUSING JAMS CAUSED BY CABLE SHORTS.

1.Model name: Z-85, 85 II, Z-88 / SF-2010.

2.General: Shorts have occurred due to the crimping of the cables when attaching them to the

cabinets, caused by the attachment method of the home position relay harness and the over-run relay harness. To prevent this trouble, the method of attachment of the harnesses has been changed.

3.Cause: To prevent L-type errors of the moving original exposure glass plate and housing, and damage to resistors (R51) in the main PWBs, caused by shorts due to crimping of the cables.

4.Description: 1. Change in attachment method of the home position relay harness.

(Addition of Mylar to the rear, left corner of the cabinet).

As shown in the drawing to the left, bolt B of the optical housing plate is loosened, and the relay harness is passed

through the harness press sheet. Mylar is pushed up between the bolt and the frame and then the bolt is tightened again.
