Installing procedure of SF-MF14 (Option multi paper
feed unit)

1. Model Name: SF-2314/2414/2514 of European models only

2. Description: In order to install the manual multi paper feed unit (SF-SM14) to the SF-2314/2414/2514, replace

the parts of the multi paper feed unit (SF-MF14) in the following procedure because the multi

paper feed unit harness (DHAI-0027QSZZ) is used which connects to the main PWB directly
without using the interface harness PWB (manual single PWB: CPWBF1066FC**) which
connects the single paper feed unit of the copier with the main PWB.

(Procedure)

1) Remove the rear cabinet of the main body, and disconnect the harness from the single paper
supply unit. (Ground cable to the main body, and CN-D connector of main PWB)

2) Remove the screws which fasten the single paper supply unit, and remove the single paper
supply unit from the main body of the machine.

3) Change the multi paper feed unit. Loosen terminal screw. Then remove the tightening band,
loosen the screw and remove the plug-in connector.

4) Remove the harness from the paper sensor and the clutch.

5) Fix the new multi paper feed harness (DHAI-0027QSZZ) to the earth terminal with a screw.
When attaching the bypass to PPC, pull the wire between the bypass plastic frame and the
metal paper guide plate to strongly pull the wire between the bypass frame and the PPC
frame. (Loop depth of 2cm is sufficient.)

6) With the help of a tie band, fasten the harness on the support plate formerly used to hold
the plut-in connector (at the same place as the tie band was previously attached).

7) It is important that the part of the harness which is connected to the clutch and the earth

wire should also be fasten at this position. Then place a second tie band around all the
harness wires just above the clutch connector to ensure that the harness is not too loose
and is squeczed when mounting the Bypass on the PPC.
