Now you are ready to use your computer. Enjoy comfortable
computing with the SHARP PC-AL Series.
Note:
Your AL series notebook is designed to restore the hard drive to its original state without
using any recovery CD-ROMs. The recovery image is stored on your notebook’s hard
drive. To perform a hard drive recovery, turn the notebook on and when the message
“Press F10 to Recover” appears in the upper left corner of the screen, press F10 to begin
the hard drive recovery.
We recommend that you should copy the recovery image onto CD-R as precaution.
Be sure to keep the following important information in your mind:
*Do not change the setting of the hard disk partition with a comercially available software.
The change may result in deleting the recovery data. Without the data, you cannot restore
your computer.
*If you install commercial data recovery software on your computer, never perform the
reinstall process until the software is uninstalled to prevent it from rewriting the MBR
(Master Boot Record: a sector on the beginning of a hard disk drive that contains a
sequence of commands necessary for booting an operating system) of the hard disk. If
the MBR is rewritten, you may not be able to reinstall the system.
For additional information on hard drive recovery, consult the operation manual.
