REGARDING THE POLYGON MOTOR FOR THE
JX-9600 SERIES.

1.Model Name: JX-9600/PS, 9660/PS

2.General: The optical unit (DUNT-0056GC12) for the above models used to be provided only as a

unit, but due to a request from the market, we are now providing the optical unit’s
polygon motor and polygon cable separately as service parts as well.

3.Description: The polygon motor and the polygon cable are being added as service parts.

∗ There are two types of polygon motors, old and new. Only the new type is being

supplied separately.
The motor cable which attaches to the polygon motor differs in the two types.
Therefore, when changing an old polygon motor to a new one, the motor cable must be
changed as well.

Note: Trouble with the optical unit is often caused by dirt on the mirror. If trouble occurs,

please clean the mirror immediately. If this does not solve the problem, and the polygon
motor is making a strange sound, replace the polygon motor.
