1. Trouble shooting printing disalignment.
1.Model name: JX-9400/PS, JX-9460/PS, JX-9600/PS, JX-9660/PS
2.General: To prevent printing disalignment shield tape had been wrapped around the heat roller to
prevent rattling of the heat roller against the fixed 32 T gear. The inner diameter of the
fixed 32 T gear has been decreased, preventing the rattling of the heat roller.

3.Description: The inner diameter of the fixed 32 T gear has been decreased.

2. Trouble shooting gear skipping.
1.Model name: JX-9400/PS, JX-9460/PS, JX-9600/PS, JX-9660/PS
2.General: Gear slipping sometimes occurred between the gears on the toner hopper and the 26 T
gear, which drives the toner hopper in the developing tank. To prevent this from
occurring the spring load weight of the toner arm spring has been changed from 1.1 kg
to 1.5 kg.

3. Changing the boss diameter of the 36 T helical gears in the main frame unit.
1.Model name: JX-9400/PS, JX-9460/PS, JX-9600/PS, JX-9660/PS
2.General: A plastic slider had been added to maintain clearance between the main frame walls
and the 36 T helical gear, which drives the drum cartridge. The shape of the 36 T
helical gear has been changed, however, eliminating the need for the plastic slider and
the slider has been eliminated.
3.Description: The diameter of the axis portion of the 36 T helical gear has been changed from φ7 mm
to φ8 mm.
4.Action: From 1993 November production.
