VARIOUS CHANGES THAT HAVE BEEN CARRIED OUT IN THE
MOVEMENT SPECIFICATIONS OF THE SIDE CASSETTE.
1.Model Name: SD-2260
2.General: A change has been carried out in a portion of the movement specifications of the side
cassette. This action has been carried out as a measure to evade problems with the
patents of other companies. In accordance with this change, a change has also been
carried out at the same time in the version of the main ROM and in the manual multi
paper feeding unit. Please note that these changes have been carried out from the start
of mass production for model SD-2275.

Furthermore, in accordance with the change that was carried out in the main ROM, a
change has also been carried out in the part code of the main PWB.

3.Description: In accordance with the change described above, the movement specifications of the
side cassette when the side cassette is inserted are as described below.
(a) When the cassette is completely filled with copy paper.
There is no lift-up movement during cassette insertion operations. When the
start key is turned ON, the lift-up movement occurs after which copy operations
are commenced.
(b) When the cassette is less than half full with copy paper, or when there is no copy
paper in the cassette.
Lift-up movement is carried out when the cassette is inserted into the machine,
and after the presence of copy paper has been confirmed, a lift-down is carried
out. When the start key is turned ON, the lift-up movement occurs once again,
after which copy operations are commenced.

4.Interchangeability:
Interchangeability of the manual multi paper feeding unit and the main ROM for service
operations are as described below.
∗ Caution should be exercised to note that there is no interchangeability between old
and new parts of either of these individual parts. However, with the removal of
some of the parts and the addition of other parts, the manual multi paper feeding
unit can be changed to either the old unit or the new one.
(Please refer to the chart shown below for details concerning these changes.)

• Remove the lever attachment screws (LX-BZ0140FCZZ).
• Remove the lift release lever (MLEVF0721FCZZ).
• Remove the lift release spring (MSPRC2529FCZZ).
• Remove the lift spring (MSPRC2530FCZZ).
• Remove the platen sleeve (NBRGY2111SCZZ).
• Remove the E5 (XRESP50-06000).
• Attach the gear box reinforcement plate (LPLTM5478FCZZ) with two (2) screws
(XHBSD30P05000).
