1. Measure to alleviate problems of locking of the fusing upper separator pawl.
1.Model Name: SD-2260
2.General: There have been some problems of the upper separator pawl becoming locked in the
fulcrum section, and therefore becoming unable to return properly when the jammed
copy paper is removed from the machine after a copy paper jam has occurred in the
fusing section (near the upper and lower separator pawls). As a measure to alleviate this
problem, the addition of a rotation standard plate has been carried out to the upper
separator pawl.

2. Addition of edge finishing of the transport paper guide M.
1.Model Name: SD-2260
2.General: The addition of an edge finishing process has been carried out to the edge surface of
the transport paper guide M inside the transport unit. This change has been carried out
as a measure to improve the safety performance of the machine.
3.Action: From the 1st lot of 1997 September production.
3. Measure to prevent cracking of the suction drive pulley 26T inside the multi drive
unit.
1.Model Name: SD-2260
2.General: There was a possibility of friction wear occurring at the straight pin location of the upper
bearing pulley which serves as the drive connection for the PS roller inside the multi
drive unit. As a measure to alleviate this problem, the shape of the straight pin has been
changed to a ‘‘T’’ shaped construction.
3.Action: From the 1st lot of 1997 September production.
