TROUBLESHOOTING STAPLE EXIT

1.Model name: SD-F201
2.General: Stable sheets sometimes fly out of the staple cartridge stocker due to vibrations and
shocks during transport. If the staple unit is set without compensating for this problem,
double staples and other staple exit problems can occur. A change in the shape of the
cartridge has been carried out to trouble shoot this problem. A list of check points for
use when setting the cartridge is also included with this report of the change.
3.Description: ➀ Add the taper to prevent the staple sheets from flying out during the transport.

The matters to be attended to in setting the cartridge
➀ Please push the staple sheets into the cartridge using your finger if they are forward
of the end of the cartridge. (See the following Fig..)
The staples will multifed and this couses the improper feed of the staple,if the cartridge
is set in the staple unit the staple sheets being forward of the end of the cartridge.
See the cartridge
from the under side
The staple sheets are forward
of the head of the cartridge
➁ Don’t remove the staple sheets which remain in the staple unit.
A staple sheet remains in the staple unit when the cartridge is changed with the new
one.The both ends of the top three staples are incurved as in the shape of?. (See the
following Fig.(a))(However these top three staples are hard to be seen.) If the staple
sheet is removed and a new cartridge is set with leaving these top three staples in the
staple unit, the stability in transfering the staples can’t be maintained because the three
staples of ? shape aren’t convected like the sheet. This may cause the staple jam.
Please be sure to open the green lever on the top of the staple unit and remove the
three staples which remain in the unit according to the instruction manual.
