CHANGE IN THE ADF CONTROL ROM TO IMPROVE THE
ORIGINAL COPY SIZE DETECTION AND THE ORIGINAL
COPY STOPPING PRECI SIO N .
1.General: The ROM of the PBA control PWB has been changed to improve the RADF original
copy size detection and original copy stopping precision in model SD-2060.
2.Description: 1. Improvement of original copy size detection.
(1)The software has been changed so that when the original copy is of a size other
than the standard copy paper sizes an appropriate size of copy paper is
automatically selected by the paper size detection function during automatic paper
size selection mode operations.
Ex. ➀When a B4 size paper is double folded and set, the length of the paper is
detected as between B4 and B5, and assigned as “special”, and the copy paper
size selected when the original copy was set was used. With the change in
software described above, B4 is automatically selected.
Ex. ➁If an A4 size paper is aligned with the original copy guide width and B5R size
original copy is selected (Random feed during SDF mode operations), the paper
is detected as between A3 and A4, and assigned as “special”, and as in Ex. ➀
above, the copy paper size selected with the original copy was set was used.
With the change in software described above, A3 is automatically selected.

Prevention of detection errors during when setting standard sized original copies
other than design specifications and during automatic paper size selection mode
operations has been carried out. Detection errors which occur when setting the
original copies however, occur in spite of specifications.

The original copy sizes detected and selected operation sizes when setting standard
sized original copies are shown in the tables below. Those size selections which are
shaded are the sizes selected when sizes other than the standard sizes are detected.

2. Improvement of thin paper original copy stopping position precision.
Transport motor stop control precision during thin paper mode operations has been
improved and original copy stopping position inconsistency has been decreased.
The ROM version and parts code of the PBA control PWB ROM have been changed in
accordance with the two changes described above.
