TROUBLE SHOOTING F2 ERRORS DUE TO CARRIER BRUSH PROBLEM.
1.General: The contrast setting of the process control sensor unit sometimes lowers due to carrier
brush problem, and an F2 error occurs. To alleviate this problem parts in the DV unit have been changed.
2.Cause: Clots of developing fluid occur when the temperature at the rear side of the MX shaft rises. Vibrations or shocks cause these clots slip through the sealing mylar, where they then get caught on the doctor, causing carrier brush problem. Furthermore, if the sealing mylar is not attached properly, clots of developing fluid also occur when the MX shaft comes in contact with the mylar and heat is emitted, causing carrier brush problem.
3.Description: The total length of the MX bearing has been increased, the position of the V-ring has been changed, the sealing mylar (MX shaft A mylar 1, 2) has been discontinued and the shape of MX shaft A has been changed. These measures are designed to improve the flow of developing liquid and keep it from becoming stopped up, thus preventing carrier brush problem from occuring.

When the trouble mentioned above occurs in machines already out on the field, or when clots of developing fluid are found when the developing fluid is changed, MX shaft A and the bearing should be changed. There is also the possiblity of v-ring deterioration, and the V-rings should therefore also be changed.
