RADF HINGE CHANGE (ADDITION OF
DIAGONAL COPY FEEDING ADJUSTOR).
1.General: The hinge on the right hand side of the RADF has been changed to facilitate
adjustment of diagonal copy feeding during the production process. (This change will
make adjustments while the RADF is loaded possible.)
2.Reason: To improve operations during the production process.
3.Description: The parts listed below have been added or changed in order to add a diagonal copy
feeding adjustor.
1. Right hinge assembly : A cut-away section has been added to prevent contact from
being made with the hinge angle R holding screw when
loosening the screw during adjustments.
2. Left hinge assembly : The left hinge assembly has been changed so that it is
compatible with the right hinge assembly and the metal casing.
3. Hinge angle R : Of the long attachment screw holes (three), the diameter of
the long hole at the rear has been enlarged to accommodate
stepped type attachment screws. Mylar has also been added
to the hole to make angle adjustments move more smoothly.

• RADF diagonal copy feeding adjustment is carried out at the factory when the RADF
is loaded, and is therefore unnecessary once the machine is out on the market.
If such an event were to occur, however , whereby such adjustments were necessary
due to diagonal copy feeding trouble, they may be carried out as described below.
<DIagonal copy feeding adjustment sequence>
(A) Disengage the angle adjustment bracket.
(B) Completely open the RADF to 90°.
(C) Loosen both screws of the right hinge angle.
(D) Move the right hinge base in the directions of indicated by I and II .
(E) Attach the angle adjustment bracket after tightening the loosened screws.
