PERFORMANCE FOR THE FINISHER
1.Model name: SD-F201
2.General: In order to improve the paper stacking performance of the finisher, change is met for
the paper exit block of the finisher. It must be noted that the compatibility is not
provided in some of functions.
3.Reason: This is to improve the paper stacking performance in the paper exit block of the finisher.
4.Description: Eight paper support bars are added to the paper exit block with changes in the following
components.

5.Action: (Factory action)
Since January 1933. Both the current and the new types are available for supply for
the elevator cover, base, slider, sponge roller C2, and ROM.

• SD-F201 paper stacking performance improvement modification procedure
Follow the next procedure to modify the existing finisher.
(1) Remove the side cover ( 46 -1), then the cover R ( 46 -5).
(2) Remove the bracket under the tray ( 48 -28) from the elevator.
(3) Remove the paper holder F ( 48 -37) and the paper holder R ( 48 -28) from the
sponge roller C2 ( 48 -23).
(4) Remove the sponge roller C2 ( 48 -23).
(5) Remove the stopper ( 48 -27).
(6) Remove the elevator cover ( 48 -21) from the finisher.
(7) Replace the tray ( 48 -29) and the slider ( 52 -2) with the new ones.
(8) Install to the slider (0BL94X-41151/) the cushion unit [cushion base
(0HL94X-41690/)] attached with the cushion (0BL94X-41700/), using two M3x6 DTP’s.
[See Figure A.]
(9) Remove the elevator ( 47 ) and the base ( 48 -7) from the finisher.
(10) Remove four bearings ( 47 -1) from the elevator.
(11) Install the new type base (0BL94X-10241/) to the finisher.
(12) I nst all the elevator worked 47 in (10) to the finisher.
(13) Install to the finisher the elevator cover assy in which the bearing mounting bracket
F (0BL94X-40700/) and the bearing mounting bracket R (0BL94X40720/) are installed
to the elevator cover (0BL94X-90840/) with two each of M4x6 truss screws and eight
paper support bars (PBARM0044FCZZ) and eight M3 washers are installed.
[See Figure B.]
(14) Install the new type sponge roller C2 (0BL94X-90830/).
(15) I nstall the paper holder F ( 48 -37) to the sponge roller C2.
(16) Install to the sponge roller C2 the paper holder unit F in which the paper holder
(0BL94X-41590/) is attached to the paper holder F (0BL94X-90790/).

(17) I nst all to the elevator the bracket ( 48 -28) of the offset block ( 52 ) that processed
in (7) and (8).
(18) Install the side cover ( 46 -1) and the cover R ( 46 -5).
(19) Replace the ROM ( 50 -47) of the MC PWB ( 50 -29) of the driving unit with the
new one.
