1. Trouble shooting measure to alleviate problems of insulation in the power supply
illumination PWB.

1.Model Name: JX-250/M/P

2.General: There is a possibility of defective insulation occurring due to insufficient distance

between the jumper cable (JP12) and the electrolytic capacitor C9 of the power supply
illumination PWB in the 200 V series. To alleviate this problem, the measure described
below has been carried out. At the same time, as a measure to improve the
performance of the power supply illumination PWB in the 100V series, the addition of a
jumper cable (J5) has been carried out.

3.Description: 1. Measure for the power supply illumination PWB of the 200V series.

1) The jumper cable (JP12) has been discontinued.

2) A jumper cable (J4) has been added to the soldered face.
(please refer to the figure shown below.)

3) Measures 1) and 2) described above are not necessary for PWB which have
electrolytic capacitor C9 which have been changed to those with small diameters
(ø25 changed to ø22).

2. A jumper cable (J5) has been added (please refer to the figure shown above) to
reinforce the GND as a measure to improve noise conditions.
(The addition of the J5 jumper cable has been carried out for both the 200V and the
100V series.)

4.Action: From 1996 May production.

2. Change and addition of screws.

1.Model Name: JX-250/M/P

2.General: Changes and additions have been carried out in the screw as a measure to improve

operationability.

3.Description: (1)A change has been carried out in the screws of the service tools (UKOG-7028XCZZ
/ UKOG-7029XCZZ) for the JX-250 machine.

Screw (M4 x 6 w/SW) XBPBZ40P06K00 XBPBW40P06K00.

(2)An addition of screws has been carried out in the service tools (UKOG-7028XCZZ /

UKOG-7029XCZZ).

Screw (M2.5 x 8) XBPSE25P08000 Two (2) screws have been added.

4.Action: (1): From start of mass production.

(2): From 1996 November production.

3. Change in the content of the bandol software supplementary manual.

1.Model Name: JX-250M

2.General: A change has been carried out in the content of the supplementary manual for the

bandol software which is included in the box of the machine.

4.Action: From 1996 April production.

When using SHARP TWAIN2 with Photoshop LE, TWAIN may report the
following message:

“Coul d not complete your request bec ause there is no scanner installed”

select File → Acquire → Anti-aliased PICT

click on the cancel button in the dialog box.

After this operation, TWAIN can be acquired.
