PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN DURING
SERVICING

1.Model Name: JX-330/M/P

2.General: Please note the explanation below regarding the upper cabinet of the JX-330. Use

special caution when reattaching the upper cabinet after servicing.

3.Description: Please make certain that there is no swelling or protrusion (bulge) when reattaching the
upper cabinet (see Fig. A). On rare occasions the rib of the upper cabinet may get
caught in the insertion opening and cause a deformation of the cabinet’s shape (as
shown in Fig. B).

If the bulge described is not eliminated, paper jams may occur when the ADF is
installed.

4.Action: From Jan., 1995 production on, in order to eliminate the occurence of the problem
described above, the upper cabinet has been made shorter and various improvements
have been carried out.
