CHANGE OF CONDENSERS AND PARTS GUIDE
CORRECTIONS IN RELAY PWB AND CCD PWB

1.Model name: JX3F6, 12

2.General: We had changed the type of the resistor R13 (100Ω) in the relay PWB from normal one

to the fuse resistor due to unusual heat since August 1994 production. However,
another problem came out. When you connect and disconnect the FSU I/F cable during
the scanner JX330 power on, the changed resistor was cut and the machine did not
recognize the transparent copy scanner unit because ratching up occurred in the CCD
sensor. This trouble is explained in the instruction manual and does not occur under the
normal condition. We have changed the electrolysis condensers in the relay PWB and
CCD PWB to prevent this. We also have changed descriptions of the relay PWB
resistor in the parts’ guide since it was false.

Changes of condensers in both PWBs are carried out at the same time. However, the
CCD PWB needs to be adjusted with special tools. Therefore please change them
under the condition that they are attached to the carriage unit, then remove the CCD
cover and screws which attach the cover. Be sure not to shift the focal point of CCD.

1. About disconnecting and connecting of the I/F cable connector, there is a description
in the instruction manual as follows: Turn the power off when disconnect or connect.
When your customer is in troubles above, please explain it and you too, be careful it
and offer service.
