CABINET SHAPE CHANGE DUE TO OVERHEATING

1.Model name: JX-320

2.General: Since there is a poss ibili ty of malfu nction due to dr ive motor crac king f rom ex cess

heat, the scann er low er cabi net has been c hanged. ROM chan ges have also be en made. When thes e pro blems occ ur or when servi cin g, plea se r espond us ing th e informati on be low.

3.Cause: A function was adde d to the ROM L versio n so th at the forw ard and rever se controlle r woul d turn of f if it go t magnet ized , but ther e was a problem in one par t of the program so t hat whe n the s canner was on st andby , magnet izati on wou ld not turn off, causing the motor coil to overheat (however, the cabinet temperature can reach appro ximat ely 85°C so there is no safet y probl em or dange r of accident).

4.Description: ROM has been upgr aded S 071K → S071N (When stopp ed, all four motor phases are off)

5.Action: ROM version i s “S071M .” (for F ebrua ry, 19 93 throug h Augus t, 1993 models )

6.Effective time: September, 19 93.
